Visit Monino Airforce Museum

Monino Museum of Airforce is Russian Central Aviation Museum, having in its collection over 150 specimen of various flight devices: jets, planes, helicopters, flying vehicles, airships, riders and birds.

The museum was founded by the Military Aviation Academy named after Gagarin in 1958. Two years later it already had 586 exhibits and opened for the first visitors. Since then and by now the museum was already visited by more than 4 million pople.

This place attracts true aviation fans. Its well known for keeping planes of World War 2. This WW2 collection was a result of a special operation carried out by the museum and aimed at finding the aircraft used in the war. That is how such planes as Po-2, Pe-2, Tu-2, DB-3, Sb and Il-10 appeared in the museum.
