Sick Day – A Short Poem

Morning comes apace. Unfortunately. The alarm has gone off, the day’s rigors are stretched long and wide previous to you, and doing your know that ground is particularly cold this morning. Across the hall, your babe slumbers heavily provides you with bed, undisturbed, wrapped still in the bliss of his dreams.

If your babies are older, put the oldest in charge of making sure everyone gets their assignments completed and offer something special for a thank you for accepting the requirement.

But as upsetting as parts of these movie are, increasing your good things, too. I don’t know much about the actual story, but Christine starts turning her unfortunate situation around by helping others – and I usually love that.

Just like the fact that you need to all in during the pioneer two days of a cold, you also needs to call in efficient if you are contagious. Pink eye is one example when you are contagious. Fevers can often mean an infection somewhere and may be contagious. If you go to work while contagious then you risk giving your coworkers your ailment and then make other people sick. It is considered in your companies best interest for you to call in sick if you are contagious. It slow up the number of men and women call in in the long run.

In case you didn’t already see the premise to this story, Angelina Jolie plays a single mom (Christine Collins) living in Los angeles in 1928. Trapped off a little slow with her just doing the day-to-day activities any mother would do for her toddler. But while it was a little slow, I think it was vital to show she was a doting mother, that life was average and absolutely out of the standard. That is, until she gets called into work to bring up someone who took a sick excuses when she was supposed to take her son, Walter, to see a Charlie Chaplin window film. She tells him that she’ll be home before dark and he replies that he’s not afraid of the dark; he’s not afraid of anything. Foreshadowing, anyone?

Every week, the sales person would disappear into the back offices and bring back to inform me how the owner was too busy to see me. It was a game to me, even though his sales people started rolling their eyes as I walked thru the cover. Obviously this guy needed me to bring him something he thought was valuable, and so far I hadn’t produced it. Here’s what finally made him give me a couple of minutes of his instant. I bought a gold crown at region costume shop, wrote a note modest business card that read “Let me make you the “King of Furniture” and tucked the actual into the crown. Tacky? Absolutely, but it worked! He came out of his office having a laugh! Find a true story to tell which demonstrates your persistence, or some outstanding ability.

What does a sick employee with very little time on the books do when illness is debilitating? Does the employee stop by work with a fever, coughing and sneezing, not having the capacity to focus on opportunities report and possibly making others sick? Many do come to work when they are sick. Most with them need the take-home pay.

Lastly, never discard your plans at the end of a school year. They can be reshaped to use the year after. If not by you, then by someone else as well.
